I love them too, and Wolf Parade also - actually I'm kind of biased to any band from Montreal (my fave city in the world!) Have you ever heard the Handsome Furs? They're pretty badass as well. In other music-related Wes news, I found a youtube interview with the Silversun Pickups (another one of my fave bands), where the interviewer asked them what filmmaker they would like to write music for, and who do you think they said?
