We, the undersigned, petition for a special edition DVD — preferably, one produced under the label of the Criterion Collection — of Wes Anderson’s first film, Bottle Rocket. As Mr. Anderson’s first film, it deserves the same treatment as his subsequent films.

I have a copy and the weird part is, I bought the DVD from Columbia House. I had to join, just to get Bottle Rocket on DVD! It was the only place I could find it.
Well I guess you don’t need to sign this petition after all. It is coming out, and on Criterion none the less.

Last week, Wes Anderson announced to MTV that Criterion was planning a special DVD package for Bottle Rocket. On my internet and iTunes podcast show MOVIE GEEKS UNITED!, the producer of that disc (the same producer who has handled all Wes Anderson Criterion titles) made it official by confirming the project.
