  1. These are brilliantly tasty and quite simple to make. I’m at altitude, but noticed no baking alterations were necessary. I sprinkled some coarse sugar on the top for some sparkle.
They make an excellent breakfast snack.
Thank you Mario Batali and Mrs. Bean.

    Fondly,

  2. I love FMF – definitely a favorite. I tried this recipe, but the cookies were far too flat and gooey. I’d recommend adding a few more cups of flour.

  3. It is most definitely lacking in flour. The first half of the batch did not turn out at all. I then added about 1 cup of flour to the second half and they were perfect.

  4. I was brought here by reading an essay about Fantastic Mr Fox. My mother worked on this film and I wanted to say that she is the one who originally made and designed these cookies! I know, because I got to try them out. I wonder if Batali wrote this recipe after the film was made. I haven’t tried this version of the recipe, but I hope everyone enjoys their cookies!

    1. Aloha Sophie! Can you publish your Mom’s recipe? We want to make this but are wondering if the flour amount is correct (given the feedback from others).
