  1. I haven’t seen the film yet but looking at the trailer I think I’m going to like Bill Murrays character. He looks like he’s teetering on the edge of sanity, but approaches it in Murrays usual, strangely calm way.

  2. Bill Murray as Walt Bishop.
Any man who gets away with those trousers and actually makes me want to seek out a pair myself, gets this racers vote.

  3. Favorite Moonrise Kingdom character is Suzy. She reminds me of myself.

  4. I don’t have a favorite character yet because I like to be 100% surprised when I see a Wes Anderson movie, but I do like Bill Murray’s style in the photos I have seen.

  5. I am going to see Moonrise Kingdom this evening after work, according to the trailer – my favorite character is Suzy. She is my favorite because I see a lot of my adolescent self in her character. In the trailer she seems moody, slightly awkward, but strong and sure of who she is. She is also up for an adventure. I can also relate to her because she has fallen for an intelligent and un-conventially attractive boy – something I have done over and over again.

  6. Sam is my favorite character. He reminds me slightly of the little boy in “Honey I Shrunk the Kids”. But, y’know, in a much better film.

  7. Haven’t seen it yet, but Bill Murray’s character will most probably be my favorite! (That’s been true of every other Wes Anderson movie he’s been in 🙂

    Great giveaway!

  8. I would love this. I can’t wait till this comes out in a theater near me!

  9. Awesome, hope I win. I missed out on the whole camping experience as a kid hopefully this compensates for it.

  10. So disappointed it won’t be in the Seattle area for the May 25th release… 🙁

  11. I know I’ll love Jason’s character since he has been my long-time favorite in Wes films.

  12. It’s so sad that I won’t be able to see it until the 29th, it’s still gonna be great though.

  13. I can’t exactly have a favorite character due to the film not having been released yet. I’m probably going to end up liking Cousin Ben, though. He’s got a strange sense of authority.

  14. I’d have to say Kara Hayward as Suzy Bishop. From the clip I saw she’s has the pre-teen angst down. I heard this is her first movie and that Kara is a smart young woman. She’s a member of Mensa. Mensa for crying out loud! Girl has a great career ahead of her.

  15. I can’t wait to see this. It sounds like I have to wait an entire month.
I too do not have a favorite character. Why? Because I haven’t seen the movie! : – )

  16. Hard to choose a favorite character at this point. How about the beguiling New England landscape?

  17. I’m sure I’ll have to wait a while for this movie to finally show in Missouri, but I’m going to go with my favorite character as Cousin Ben. Jason Schwartzman is constantly great in any Wes Anderson film that he makes an appearance in. Really looking forward to seeing it!

  18. Eagerly awaiting this film.

I feel most drawn to Sam, in large part because I can relate to his childhood of being bullied, withdrawn, and seeking solace and freedom in outdoor adventures and elaborate misdeeds.

Perhaps my opinion will change after seeing the film…

  19. I loved Captain Sharp for pouring that beer, and Sam for being so honest. But I guess my favorite character was Suzy because I would have been in love with her when I was 11 (and always fall in love with girls who used to be like her who are now in their 20’s).

  20. Unfortunately I can’t see it yet since it is only in limited release, but I’m waiting patiently until it comes to where I live.

  21. Phew! I couldn’t find any showtimes for theaters near me and I was BUGGING OUT; but it’s nice to see that the nationwide release is June 29, even though it also means more waiting. I’m sure it’ll be worth it. Not having seen the film, I’m going to go along with the majority here and say that my favorite character will probably be the character Bill Murray plays. Do I even need to explain this? I mean, c’mon, it’s BILL MURRAY!!! haha I juana win!!!

  22. Just judging from the photo of all the characters, I think the narrator may be my favorite. I’ll have to wait and see…

  23. Haven’t seen it yet, though Scout Master Ward seems to be a fun character. A cigarette smoking scout master who says “Jiminy Crickets”? Count me in. Choose me!

  24. While I have not been able to see the film yet, based on what I have read, videos I’ve seen, and photos, and based on what I have already been talking about on Facebook and to my friends my favorite character in Moonrise Kingdom has to be Bill Murray’s portrayal of Suzy’s father, Mr. Bishop. Bill’s description of his character in one of the several videos floating around on the internet and the Behind the Scenes video with Bob Babalan’s narration on the Moonrise Kingdom website makes Murray’s character of Suzy’s father seem so interesting plus what Murray brings to the set. I have talked way too much about Murray’s madras pants on Facebook but his costuming is brilliant and the scene of him shirtless with an ax in the trailer – amazing. While this might change after seeing the film based on all the intel I have now and all of my own personal chatter – Bill Murray’s Mr. Bishop.

  25. Summer Camp was the most miserable experience of my childhood. If Wes can make me nostalgic for that, he can do anything.

  26. Scout Master Ward seems like he would be my favorite character. My wife’s birthday is Tuesday, so we’re going to celebrate with Moonrise Kingdom as her present. You should think of her and give her a birthday present too!

  27. Looking forward to seeing the film this weekend. I hope I win, Wes’ soundtracks are always killer.

  28. Bill Murray is the best because he is awesome!! Great actor working with great director = another great movie!!

This bundle looks awesome !!!! Please pick me!!!!

  29. Have not seen it yet, but I get the feeling Scout Master Ward will be my favorite character…just because it’s Edward Norton in a Wes Anderson movie.

  30. I’m looking forward to seeing Bill Murray in another Wes film. I just wish I didn’t have to wait another month to see it ;;
